After reporting damage to an airline or insurer, travellers are often asked to provide a repair estimate, an independent assessment, or confirmation that their suitcase is beyond economical repair. Finding someone who can provide this information quickly and in a format suitable for a claim is not always straightforward.
That is where Baggage Repairs comes in.
We created a simple online service that allows travellers to submit photographs and details of their damaged luggage without having to find a local repair shop, transport a suitcase somewhere for inspection or wait weeks for an appointment.
Our aim is straightforward: give you a clear assessment that helps you understand the condition of your luggage and decide what to do next.
Our Online Luggage Assessment Service
Our online service is available to customers worldwide.
You provide photographs, luggage details and information about the damage through our secure online assessment process. We review the information and prepare an independent luggage damage report which may include a repair cost estimate and, where appropriate, a recommendation that replacement is more economical than repair.
Our reports can be used as supporting documentation when dealing with:
- Airlines and baggage claims
- Travel insurance claims
- Courier and delivery damage
- Hotels and other accommodation providers

Baggage Repairs is not affiliated with any airline, luggage manufacturer, insurer or claims department.

If a suitcase is realistically repairable, we will say so.
If repair is possible but commercially unreasonable, we will explain that.
And if the damage appears beyond economical repair, we will state that clearly.
We would rather give you an honest assessment than tell you what you want to hear.
UK-Based, Worldwide Service
We are based in the UK, but our online luggage assessment service is available worldwide.
You do not need to send your suitcase to us for an online assessment. In most cases, clear photographs and accurate information are enough for us to assess the visible damage and prepare your report.
Our physical luggage repair service is separate from our online assessment service and is currently available only within the UK, subject to the type of luggage, damage and repair required.
We do not operate as a traditional walk-in luggage repair shop. Our primary service is providing independent luggage assessments and documentation for damaged luggage claims.
